V8 Hotel For Car Lovers
While in Stuttgart, we stayed a few minutes out of town at a very unique hotel, called V8 Hotel.
At first I was a little bit doubtful about a hotel centered around cars, but it definitely turned into an experience.
Our room was not just car themed- it was a car lover’s paradise. The windows overlooked a car museum. That’s right: the windows of our room opened to a museum. I sat by the window and watched as Joe was walking around the floor checking out cars and making obscene gestures at me, while Lexi was busy drawing at the “tool table”
The bathroom amenities were also car themed, and so was the shower.
Something I did not notice right away until Joe pointed out were the feet sticking out from under the hood of the car bed. We had quite a laugh at it, and it was somewhat creepy. The car itself is a real car that was transformed into a bed. How cool is that?
Later it turned out, the museum closes at a certain time and Joe was completely locked inside and was unable to get back into the hotel. Now it was my turn to make gestures at him! 😀
He was able to get out through the adjacent restaurant where he picked up potato dumpling coleslaw sausage pizza. Sounds weird, right? But it was seriously one of the best things we have ever had!
We only had one night there but it was a lot of fun. Oh, and the room service food quality was ridiculous. To this day I have not had better noodles than the truffle spaetzle.
Would you stay at a hotel like this or do you prefer more traditional types of accommodations?
