This is my favorite picture post of ALL TIME!

While at Disney we booked a reservation at a Garden Tea Room at Grand Floridian resort, the fanciest resort at Disney World.
It was our one chance to do something special and princess like with Alexis that wasn’t too extensive since she was only 7.5 months.
Like I described in the recap post, we didn’t want to put her into an uncomfortable and hot princess outfit until she was old enough to want it, but did want something special for her to wear. The dress she wore c/o of Baby Beau & Belle was utter perfection! It’s kind of funny but it turns out a friend of mine had bought their dress for her little girl’s christening a few years ago. What a small world! Really their dressesare meant for events like weddings, birthdays, christenings, but I can’t think of a more fitting place at Disney to wear such a fancy silk dress than the Garden Tea Room at Grand Floridian. Feel free to check out their website and Facebook and Twitter for frequent contests and giveaways.
When little Lexi is old enough, we will do Garden Tea Party at the same place with Princesses and Disney characters and tiaras and many special girly things, but for now we had our own PARTY. If anyone is planning on visiting Disney, I would say it is almost a must that you visit the tea room. If you have older (loud) kids, then probably the tea party is best, but if your babies/kids can stay quiet or you’re coming on a adult only trip, there is no better place to relax and feel all “pretentious” and pampered than in a fancy room overlooking (you guessed it!) a garden, sipping the tastiest teas you’ll ever drink in the smallest cups with your pinky out, while savoring mini deserts and mini-sandwiches which are a part of 4(?) courses. Actually, I loved their tea so much, I asked if we could buy it and sure enough, at $12 per box Princess Tea was ours!
Alexis was nothing but a perfect lady, never complained, played with her toys and tasted our sandwiches, breastfed, played while we literally sat there in AWE of how perfect our girl looked in that setting and that dress. We were even given a little tiara to wear by one of the managers of the tea room.
To this day, these are the sweetest photos I have ever taken of my girl. I wanted to take a picture of her in every room of the resort- it was all sooooo perfect! We even got a chance to snap a few family shots, though Lexi was less than happy with the hot sun in her eyes and scratchy grass.
So enough of the words, because they will not do. Enjoy the visuals: the girl, the dress, the setting! Everything was wonderful!

Adorable!!! I love her dress. 🙂 By the way, based on one of your previous posts, I recently ordered the Canon T3 EOS Rebel camera. I knew I wanted a better quality camera but I was hesitant to buy something without a recommendation. I still have yet to use it but plan to use it for our Christmas photo with our little one (she is 6 months old).
Oh that’s awesome. The older version of that camera was my starter DSLR.
just another quick tip, you’ll greatly improve your photos if you get a 50mm 1.8 lens. (Just an FYI)
Oh, okay. Thanks for the tip. What does that lens do exactly? Is it for close-ups or clarity, or both?
It’s just a lens. Instead of using your kit lens that sucks (I assume you got the 18-55mm), you use a 50mm (it’s fixed there is no zoom), but the bokeh (blurry background) and the overall quality is to die for. Plus it’s super cheap. Here it is.
We always stay at the Grand Floridian when we visit WDW! So beautiful. They have an awesome GIANT gingerbread house at Christmas that’s always a fun thing to see. If you are looking for a very special dinner just for the two of you, Victoria and Albert’s can’t be beat.
I’ve followed your blo for ages and have been very guilt of being a lurker. But I had to break my lurker status because this post is just too cute. Those photos are stunning. Especially the ones of the three of you at the end.
I recently had a baby girl and this post has made me so excited about taking her out for tea one day, as I’ve always so loved doing that with my own mum and grandmother.

YAY for delurking 🙂 The tea room is awesome, I would definitely recommend taking your little girl there. It’s quite special!
I haven’t commented before, but I just can’t help but express how adorable these photos are and how cute she looks! My little girl is due in a few weeks and I can’t wait for her to arrive so I can dress her up!
I also wanted to say thank you for posting photos of yourself breastfeeding. It is beautiful and inspirational to see you and Alexis breastfeeding with such ease where ever you are!
Thank you for your comment, Julia!
I love breastfeeding, I find it so special! I’m glad you enjoy those photos.
The guy in the background with the food cart in the last set makes me laugh!
I meant to clone him out but never got around to it.
I just looked at the dress – so cute, but whoa, $159! Yikes. I’d be so scared to put my messy girl in a dress that I spent that much on. Did they send it to you or did you buy it?
These dresses are supposed to be used for christenings, weddings, special events. I don’t think I’d spend that much money just to wear it on a normal day.
The dress was c/o’ed like I said in the post.
Magical!!!! 🙂 literally 🙂
Admittedly, I don’t always agree with some of what you write but you have beautiful little girl and take gorgeous pictures. What I don’t understand why people continue to question what you pay for items. Do you owe Lara money and we just don’t know it? This always drives me nuts on the mommy message boards. Yes, I realize some people think buying a baby item for more than $2 is insane but I happen to like quality and I don’t owe anyone an explanation. Last I checked, you weren’t asking for commentary on how much the dress cost. You simply wanted to highlight how adorable Lexi looked in the aforementioned dress.
LOL That’s funny and true.
The thing is… I didn’t even buy it ( i probably wouldn’t spend that much money on a dress just to go to Disney until she is old enough to enjoy looking pretty herself), but I don’t think 150 dollars is too much for a special event dress, like christening or wedding. And this company definitely makes THE BEST special occasion dresses that I have ever seen, especially quality wise.
Dolce & Gabbana.
I would love to see a post about photography. I have canon rebel t3i to take better pictures of my 6 month old. I would love to get tips from you!
I can never find time to write one. But I’ll keep trying.
