I wish I had the time to feature and describe every single trip Lexi and I take together. Alas, that’s impossible, so I do what I can.
Every November, I seem to be drawn to Mexico. As in I leave for 2 weeks and feel like I’m never coming back. This November, I did it slightly differently. Instead taking the whole fam to Mexico, I got a chance to have an adult trip for a week and then flew back to Florida to grab Lexi and my mom and spend another week enjoying the Mexican Riviera with them.
This was our second visit to Hard Rock Riviera Maya. Two year ago at that same time, my mom and Lexi were enjoying the sunshine and exploring the resort for the first time. The second time around everything felt familiar. This time I didn’t have the need to venture out to the adult section of the resort, we just stayed in the family section.
For those who have never been to a Hard Rock All Inclusive Resort (and I know quite a few of you have), they are divided into a blue adult only resort and a family resort, you’re allowed to visit both sides, but kids aren’t allowed on the blue side. Very convenient if you ask me.
I’d like to mention that despite the fact that Lexi fell sick with strep throat for the first time when we arrived, I remember nothing but enjoying our time there. There was beach time, rock collecting and throwing, there was volleyball, there was a lot of eating, lots of dancing on the grass. And towards the end of the trip when Lexi felt better, we got to enjoy the amazing lagoon beach at the resort (probably my favorite part), as Lexi was learning to swim.
Scroll down to join us on a visual trip during our stay at Hard Rock Riviera Maya.
All the photos were taken on my cell phone. My big beautiful expensive camera died on my first day in Mexico. I’ll spare you the drama, but it was very upsetting. Mostly because the inner photographer in me cannot handle not being able to take beautiful clear pictures.
